Whistler Magic, Eh

We hopped off to Whistler for a week. Wished it were longer!

Grandma and Grandpa took Elsa and I to Alta Lake while our parents hiked to the Joffre lakes. (There are three of them.) This is the lower lake. They ate lunch at the upper lake under the glacier.

We celebrated Grandma's birthday! Actually, the whole week was a birthday celebration since Grandma had planned over a year in advance to spend her birthday in Whistler with her family. Thank you, Grandma! Aunt Katy made the best mud pie cake ever! I'm going to request it for my birthday.

Grandma got lots of help opening her presents and cards.

The weather was great. I didn't wear long pants once! We spent lots of time in the pool and lakes.

Check me out! I have the balance of a gymnast, or tightrope walker, or at least a child older than me. I can stand up on Daddy's hands for a long time! This trick impressed just about everyone at the hotel pool.

Mommy and Daddy snuck off for a mountain bike ride/hike. What a beautiful place! Mom is trying to convince Dad to move to Whistler. She's pretty sure that she could be very happy waitressing to support the summer hiking/biking/running/swimming and winter XC skiing/snowshoeing that they could do daily.

Taking a break on the trail. What a fabulous trip!

My new bed

I can climb out of my crib, even when it is facing backwards against the wall. So Dad put together my big boy bed. They're hoping for a smooth transition!

Motorcycle Madness

Thank you for the lesson, Joey! It won't be long before I take off on my own!

Visiting Oma and Grandpa

We went to Cape Cod. I played with Oma while Daddy, Mommy, and Uncle Keith went biking.

What's a trip to Rhode Island without lobster? (Pronounced "lobstah".)

This was a big day! Not only did I wake up from my nap to find four motorcycles in the driveway, but I also got to ride one! There may be a video coming soon!

I have lots of second cousins that are my age. I enjoyed spending a day with Damon. He was nice to let me hug and kiss him.

Christmas in July? Yep! We even decorated a tree!

Mommy and Daddy spent a day biking on Block Island while I stayed with Oma. They enjoyed the fresh island air, beautiful scenery, and nice beaches. Their other outing without me was to Fenway Park for a Red Sox game with Uncle Keith!

New Hampshire

We are back from a great trip to New England. We spent our first few days in New Hampshire--new territory for Mommy and me. What a beautiful state!

Our first stop was the Flume Gorge. I hiked almost the whole way while Uncle Keith pushed the empty stroller up all the hills and steps.

I got a few rides from Daddy, too.

We spent a very busy day at Storyland. The whole park is made for kids my age! I loved it! Here I am with Humpty Dumpty. Mommy missed the photo op when I gave him a kiss.

We went on lots of rides, but my favorite part of the park was the random water fountain!

The scenery was beautiful.

On our last day, we stopped to see Thomas the Train, who happened to be in town for the weekend. There were other activities, too. I made it through the maze on my first attempt!

This was my first time in a bounce castle. I went twice!

Doesn't Thomas look just like he does in his books?

I made the salad for dinner tonight. Who's up for lettuce, Kix, pretzels, and raisins?

Happy Fourth!

What a beautiful weekend for the 4th of July!

I played row, row, row your boat with Grandma.

Mom, Dad, and Grandpa went crabbing on Friday and Saturday, and we had a feast!

All the activity, and a late night of watching fireworks over the water, wore me out!

Time to go home. Can't wait 'til next year! I woke up on the 5th and the 6th asking for "big boom".

Meet the Babies IV

We had a smaller group this year, and our new babies couldn't make it, but we still had a great MTB weekend! From L to R: Abby, Elsa, Katy, Nicole, me, Mommy, and Megan.

Grandma sent me a water table and it arrived just in time! We had hours of enjoyment splashing ourselves, splashing each other, and watering Mommy's plants. Elsa and Abby even watered the fence! It was a bit like modern art. They might have brilliant careers ahead of them.

Crowding to look at the pictures of us.
Mommy and I are already looking forward to MTB V! Can't wait to see the rest of the group!
