Our Favorite Hike

We went for a hike for some after-Christmas fun. It was rainy, windy, and the mountains weren't out (the Olympics are usually HUGE right across the water), but it was still beautiful.

Merry Christmas to All!

Our angelsMmmmmm... salami-faced gingerbread men. Yummy!
Hey! That's my present! Can I play?
It didn't take me long to get the hang of this, though the paper and ribbons were definitely the best part of the holiday. That and the cheese I managed to sneak off the table.
Helping Uncle Joe
Aunt Katy made me a new apron! I can't wait to start baking with Mom!
Cousin fun
We hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

Happy Birthday, Elsa!

Elsa is 5! She had a really fun build-a-bear party. We wish you a very special year, Elsa!

Santa Claus Came to Town

Santa rode the fire engine in our neighborhood tonight!

Evan and Cameron visiting with Santa and getting a treat.

Then Santa went to the library! Mom read the time wrong so we were over an hour late for the story, but all the other kids had already gone home and we got him all to ourselves! And we got to check out books. What a great night!

Good Day

Check out my bear booties!

We cut and decorated our tree today. This picture doesn't show the bottom 12", which is bare after we caught Nathan trying to take off ornaments. You may also note that there is only one ball on it (near the top). Mom thought that was safer since Nathan is really into balls right now and he played with the ball ornaments the whole time we were decorating. Why tempt fate?

Oma and Grandpa Al came to visit for Thanksgiving. Oma and I made a turkey. I read my new book with Grandpa.

We celebrated Christmas, too. What's in this bag?
We played in the snow.
Music to Mom's ears.
So much to be thankful for...

Dear Mom,
Please clean me.
P.S. Don't forget to get the squash out of my ears.

Winter is Here!

We have snow! Last night I went out with Dad to have a snowball fight with the neighbors. It didn't matter to us that it was just a dusting. We have more today, though!

Bundled up for a run. I can't move, so perhaps I'll sleep.

Fall Leaves

It's that time of year! I was a big help to Mom and Dad as we raked and gathered leaves!

Cousins

We don't get to see our second cousins very often, but this weekend everyone was together except Wesley and Aaron.
Nathan and Emma

Nathan and Jocelyn

The whole gang (Ally, Emma, Evan, Elsa, Noelle, Nathan, and Tyler). It is HARD to get a picture of all these moving parts! I believe this is right before Evan hopped up to the cameras on his knees.

Happy Halloween!
Just a little further... Got it! Now if I could only get the wrappers off.
Okay. They're all sorted. It could take hours to decide which one to eat!

Max Robert "Bob" Waldburger March 6, 1924 - October 31, 2010

Great Grandpa passed away this morning. We will have lots of stories to share with the boys of someone who is truly a person to emulate. We hope Evan will appreciate the legacy of the man he was named after. We will really miss him. Evan's 3 year old wisdom should be a comfort to all of us. When told of his great grandpa's passing he said, "We can't see him anymore. We can only see him in our hearts."

Boo at the Zoo

It was a wet day at the zoo, but it seems that is our destiny. (Our last two attempts at the "Big Zoo" have resulted in detours to the Aquarium and the Museum of Flight due to rain.) The rain didn't wash away our fun, though. Evan put out the fires that Elsa, oops! I mean our fire-breathing dragon, set. You can probably check Elsa's blog for more pictures. Mom's camera battery ran out of juice early in the day.
