It is a good thing that I'm not in Daddy's belly! He's living in the southeast right now. Actually, he isn't living there, he is roasting there. It was SO hot today that he had to whisper when he spoke to me - his throat would have been parched if he tried to talk in a normal voice. He told me the temps for the day were:
4:45am when he went to work it was 67 degrees
5:30am when he began his run it was 70 degrees
7:15am when he finished his shower at the gym it was 75 degrees
3:00pm when he drove to the eye doctor it was 99 degrees
9:45pm when he left the movie theater it was 85 degrees
I won't even attempt to describe the humidity and the wonderful oderiferousness of the paper factory.
Since the air conditioner at his apartment wasn't doing a good enough job at keeping the sweat from pouring down his face, Daddy went to see Ocean's 13 at the movie theater. He knows the theater will be nice and cool. Well, it better be for $9.50 for a movie! Yikes!
Dad can't wait to join Mommy and Grandma/Grandpa Roberts paddling out on the sound. He is quite envious of the view of Mt. Baker - all he has is a view of the back of a dental clinic.

Northwest Living
I love Northwest living! Mom and I go kayaking with Grandma R, and have beautiful views of Mt. Baker and the islands. Mom has to wear Grandpa's life jacket so that it fits both of us, though. :) Since Grandma and Grandpa D. live on the East Coast, I'll get to experience Northwest AND Northeast living. Lucky me!

The Next Chapter...
Holly left Germany today to head to Ft. Lewis, Washington. I am very excited and feel blessed that we'll be together in such a great location as Ft. Lewis, but I still wish we could have one more day in Europe together.
After thinking about this on a long run, which Holly will be quite proud of, I spent the evening looking through my Europe photos. Here are some of my favorites:

With all the changes that we'll be going through, I can't wait to start writing the next chapter of our travel book...
What? Did you think we'd leave you hanging like the Sopranos?

Baby Shower!
Mommy and her girlfriends in Germany gave me a baby shower this weekend. Funny, I don't feel any cleaner?
Plotting My Escape!
For the past week or so, I've been getting quite restless. I've been pushing, pulling, kicking and grabbing at every opportunity to find a way out of here. I tried the sides quite a number of times, but for some reason, the walls just won't budge. It seems as if everytime I push the walls, they push back. This is quite an interesting concept!

Sintra, Portugal
Mommy and Daddy took me to Portugal for our second family vacation! We had a blast! Mommy is a trooper too; we did a great deal of hiking and stair-climbing. Here we are in front of the Mesa Palace in Sintra. It is really nice that I was able to visit a place where my ancestors came from. Mom and Dad tried to figure out my ethnic heritage and percentages but they gave up because it got too complicated. For those of you on the DiPetrillo side, not one statue of Mary with a half bathtub behind her was seen on the entire trip. It must be something specific to Portuguese people living in Cumberland.
Mommy is teaching me to live on the edge! Following a family tradition, Mommy dangled her feet off of something really high while Daddy took a picture of her. Don't worry Grandma Roberts, Daddy had the grip-of-death on the hoodie.
This is the view we had from our hacienda. The two pictures above were taken at the castle on top of the center hill in the background. Dad says that I make Mom look pregnantly cute! I'd say Dad has a good eye.
