We had a fun visit with Owen and Henry today! They came all the way from Iowa to see us. Well, us and all their granparents. :) Mommy and their mom, Danielle, have so many memories, like trying to break Dani's toe in order to avoid work, crying at the window hoping that our freshman homecoming dates would stand us up so we wouldn't have to go, and convincing all of our college friends that we were trying out for cheerleading (and practicing for hours and hours to avoid studying), just to name a few. Now it's time for our kids to start making memories!

Grandma's Birthday Party
Grandma sure knows how to throw a party...
This is after Elsa went kayaking with Aunt Katy and Uncle Joe, and after Mom and I went crabbing with Grandpa.
We had crab and hot dogs for dinner. Roasted on the firepit and eaten on the beach.
I got avocado.
Meeting a New Friend
There isn't much better than getting together with old friends... except when you can meet a new one, too! We got to meet Johanna today. She is just as cute as her pictures! Mommy had fun visiting with Johanna's parents, too, while Evan swam in the lake, played on the beach, and explored every inch of the playground. The last time she saw Jenny and Jonathan, Evan was approximately Nathan's age!

Loving Lady Gaga
(From Nathan to Daddy) Thanks for introducing me to Lady Gaga while webcamming this morning, Daddy! I love it! Seriously, I fell asleep dancing on the second go-around of this song tonight. We aren't as good of dancers as you, but we aren't that bad.
For our fans, here's a link to our new favorite video, too.

Meet the Babies V
Meet the Babies weekend! This is always one of Mom's favorite weekends. This year was our fifth. Can you believe that Abby and Elsa were only 3 months old at MTB I?

We started out the next morning with a walk along the river.

Later we had a picnic (on the softball field named for Abby's grandma) and had fun with bubbles.
Elsa and I are on our way to our first activity--swimming!

What fun!

Kate was the youngest baby. She's 2 1/2 months old.

We had a 4th of July parade complete with flags, balloons, and instruments!
