Meet the Babies IV

We had a smaller group this year, and our new babies couldn't make it, but we still had a great MTB weekend! From L to R: Abby, Elsa, Katy, Nicole, me, Mommy, and Megan.

Grandma sent me a water table and it arrived just in time! We had hours of enjoyment splashing ourselves, splashing each other, and watering Mommy's plants. Elsa and Abby even watered the fence! It was a bit like modern art. They might have brilliant careers ahead of them.

Crowding to look at the pictures of us.
Mommy and I are already looking forward to MTB V! Can't wait to see the rest of the group!

Father's Day Weekend

We had a great long weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's. Here are some highlights, in no particular order.
Beach art projects with Elsa.

Helping Grandpa (and Aunt Katy, not pictured) make ice cream.

Elsa is a big help keeping the boat on shore.
Lunch!

Can I play baseball while riding a firetruck?

Wheelbarrow rides.

We took a trip on the boat! I had so much fun that Mommy and I went twice!

Enjoying the docks with Mom and Grandma and the little boy who made Grandma hold his "fishing pole" while he explored and talked to the boaters. Unfortunately, she didn't catch any fish.
We missed you, Daddy! And we hope that you had a great Father's Day!

Mommy is so multi-talented. In May she was in charge of a clinic of 17 physical therapists and 18 support staff. In June she's running an animal daycare. Every one of these critters has a fresh diaper. Talk about multitasking!

Happy Father's Day, Daddy! We'll add pictures another day. Right now we have to use the computer quickly so Elsa can go to bed. We love you and miss you! Hope you had a great day!

These pictures are from a couple days ago when Mommy and I went to the waterfront.
What a beautiful place we live in!

Funny Conversations

Conversation 1.
Situation: Mommy and I were coming into the house after playing outside. I closed the screen door so she couldn't come in. This is the converstation we had. Mommy was outside; I was inside.
Mommy: Can I come inside?
Me: No.
Mommy: You will have to make yourself dinner. What will you make?
Me: Cake.
Mommy: Cake?! That isn't very nutritious. What else will you have?
Me: Pasta.
Mommy: Please be careful and don't burn yourself on the stove and oven while you are making cake and pasta. Who will say your prayers with you at bedtime?
Me: (Shrug)
Mommy: How will you get into your crib to sleep?
Me: Climb.

Conversation 2.
Situation: During prayer before eating dinner. (I finally let Mommy come inside to make chicken, and she caved and made pasta, too, but not cake.)
Mommy: ... We pray for Daddy's safety and that he is getting good training.
Me: Choo choo!
Mommy: No, not a choo choo train. Training.
Me: (Confused look.)
This conversation happens frequently, since this is a frequent prayer, so don't be surprised if you come home, Daddy, and I think you've been on a train for a month!
