We hiked at Mt. Rainier today. What a beautiful day to be outside! It was even warm enough to get a little wet in the mountain water.

Parents' Day Out
We biked to Smith Rock, an incredible area of rock formations that rivaled the Utah's canyons.
A hike and a scramble to the summit.
The view for lunch was worth it!

After the games, pool, and bike rides, we still had time for silliness.
With all this fun, I was worn out by lunch.

We are on Vacation!
We are on vacation in Central Oregon. We are having a great time biking and hiking.
We hiked to several waterfalls. Everyone was impressed that I (Evan) hiked several miles, and Nathan did great in the pack.

Overheard by Nathan
Evan asked Mommy how Jesus could walk on water. Mommy did a good job with her explanation and ended by telling Evan that we can do amazing things if we ask Jesus to help us. Evan answered, "I want Jesus to get me a computer."

We had such a nice visit with Aunt Mary, who came all the way out from Washington, DC, just to see us! Well, us and the rest of the family and to go on a fun road trip across the country with some friends. There was a little bit of seriousness...

Crabs!! Oh, and the 4th of July.
4th of July weekend means the start of the crab season around here. We take that very seriously!
