Full Weekend

We had such a wonderful weekend.  We hadn't planned anything since Daddy was supposed to be deployed, but it wasn't hard to have a lot of spontaneous fun!

We went camping.  Cooking dinner on the fire was fun.

Camping is fun!

We spent time at the beach.

I got to go canoeing.

Couldn't have asked for a nicer day!

Day 2: We moved to Aunt Katy's house... and watched a parade!

Day 3: We made pancakes.

We played at a playground and dock-walked at a lake.

We fed ducks.

We walked to a fish hatchery.

We hiked to a waterfall.

Beautiful, isn't it?

On our walk, Mom said to Dad and Aunt Katy, "Maybe we should see how Joe is."  Good thing!  When they turned around, we were all playing in the grass WAY behind them and the only person walking forward was Uncle Joe.  At least we were all headed in the same direction by the time Mom got her camera out.

Enjoying more sun.  Happy Memorial Day!

It's official!  Between the two of them, Mom and Miss Dani now have a one, two, three, four, and five year old!  Happy birthday, Charlie!

Charlie is getting closer to walking.  Won't our outings be crazy with all five of us running around?!

Look at how much fun we're having!

We are staying at Grandma and Grandpa's house while Mom is in Texas and Dad is working nights and long hours.  We've been kayaking in the Sound, swimming in the lagoon, helping in the garden, roasting s'mores on the fire (thank you, Aunt Katy!), and riding bikes.  As always, Nathan's favorite activity is throwing rocks in the water to make a big splash.  (We call this 'moving Grandpa's beach--one rock at a time'.)  We're having so much fun that it's possible we won't want to go home, especially if Dad can come visit us like he did this weekend.  (Only one day off, but we made the most of it!)

Mom sent us to Grandma and Grandpa's house with my pinata that we forgot to use at a birthday party.  Mom is embarrassed to say which one, but Grandma said the Snickers and Fruit Roll-ups still tasted good!

Bam!

Everyone got in on the action!

We think Holden and his creative mama will like our egg carton snakes!

HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS....
Thanks for sending the pictures, Grandma!  They make Mom feel a little closer while she is away.

This is becoming a trend!

Mom and Miss Dani are going to come up with a checklist for our outings together.
Raingear.  Check.
Towels.  Check.
Extra clothes.  Check.
It seems to rain harder every time we meet!  It even pours on the days we plan to meet, but don't.  But we don't let it stop us!  Owen and Henry and I charged around the lake.  It's hard to feel the raindrops when you're going that fast!  And we capped off our morning with fun at the playground.  We were the only kids in the entire park, so we had all of the play equipment to ourselves.  We slid down the wet slides until we were thoroughly soaked!
