Mr. Fix-It

While Mom was cooking dinner, I went out to the garage. "What are you doing?" she asked. "Just getting a screw driver," I answered. Soon I returned with Dad's screwdriver set and walked purposefully to the front of the house. A few minutes later Mom checked on me. I was busy fixing the latch on the bathroom door. Several minutes after that, I came into the kitchen and got myself a cup of water, complete with ice, all by myself. "Did you fix it?" Mom asked. "Nope. Just takin' a break," I replied. Mom wants to know where her baby went!

Oma took me swimming. Look at how much fun we had! Two videos may be overkill unless you are my daddy.

From Mommy: Evan is very creative in his play. We live in a fantasy world at our house. Daddy is Evan's latest imaginary friend. He's everywhere. Along with Evan's grandchildren, who made an appearance for a basketball game tonight. I didn't even know he knew the word 'grandchildren'!

This is what happened while Mom was vacuuming the other part of the living room. The only game I didn't have out yet was Jenga. Serves her right for trying to clean!

I'm sure I'll have my hand in the mess pretty soon, but for now I just lie there looking cute.

Recycling with Daddy and More Smiles

Aunt Katy and Uncle Joe came to babysit during Mom's drill weekend. She didn't want to go back to work, but was so happy to not worry about us at all. The first two pictures are shamelessly stolen directly from Elsa's blog for those of you who are not followers of her blog. (Thanks, Katy!)

Evan is always role playing. He is usually driving construction equipment, garbage trucks, recycle trucks, trains, or big rigs. Then, when he's really being creative, he becomes the actual equipment. In this video, Evan is a recycle truck. His arm is the arm of the truck that lifts and dumps the recycle bins. At the end, he suddenly switches to become an excavator. His arm is the boom; his hand is the bucket, and his body is the cab. If you spend a lot of time watching these vehicles (as I do), you will see that Evan really has this down.

Midday in Iraq

Mrs. Pease made me a new pillowcase. This morning Mom heard me call enthusiastically through the monitor, "Mooooommmmmmyyyyy! I can't see you!" She found me in my crib like this! Then I walked all the way downstairs with the pillowcase still over my head. (Note the pillow is still attached!)
