Family Vacation - Part 3

For phase 3 of our trip, we met my West Coast family on the East Coast! Down the coast we went, courtesy of Amtrak, to Washington, DC, for Michael's wedding (Mom's cousin). It was a beautiful wedding, and we like our new cousin-in-law, Jennifer, very much. In addition to the festivities, we took in the sites with Grandma and Grandpa.
Climbing the Capitol steps.

While Mom, Dad, and Grandma watched the House hearings on the bailout bill, Grandpa and I made friends with several Capitol police officers. They made me an honorary member of their precinct and gave me my own badge!

On the mall.

With Grandma at the WWII memorial, with the Lincoln memorial in the background.

I climbed most of the steps up to the Lincoln memorial all by myself!

We tried to meet George, but he was busy trying to pass the bailout bill.

Strolling around the Tidal Basin (Jefferson memorial in the background).

All in all, I took DC by storm!

What a wonderful trip!

Tho' we've decided here that we can no longer refer to you as "Baby Evan" . . . you're far too big for that!

Love love love.
