Oma and Grandpa came to visit last weekend. We took them to Leavenworth, which was beautiful, as always. Mom and Dad have added Leavenworth to their list of places they'd like to live in when they finally settle down.Even during our fun time together, we want to pause and remember all of the men and women in uniform who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country, and those who are currently serving overseas, as well as their families. We say a prayer especially for our dear friends Emily, Val, and Bob, who are in Iraq, Afghanistan, and on the Nimitz, respectively.

We had a lovely Memorial Day, too--and since Jonathan plays with the Sioux Falls Municipal Band, we got to be part of the civic festivities. I thought of all of you . . .
