Aunt Katy and Uncle Joe came to babysit during Mom's drill weekend. She didn't want to go back to work, but was so happy to not worry about us at all. The first two pictures are shamelessly stolen directly from Elsa's blog for those of you who are not followers of her blog. (Thanks, Katy!)

Evan is always role playing. He is usually driving construction equipment, garbage trucks, recycle trucks, trains, or big rigs. Then, when he's really being creative, he becomes the actual equipment. In this video, Evan is a recycle truck. His arm is the arm of the truck that lifts and dumps the recycle bins. At the end, he suddenly switches to become an excavator. His arm is the boom; his hand is the bucket, and his body is the cab. If you spend a lot of time watching these vehicles (as I do), you will see that Evan really has this down.

Mrs. Pease made me a new pillowcase. This morning Mom heard me call enthusiastically through the monitor, "Mooooommmmmmyyyyy! I can't see you!" She found me in my crib like this! Then I walked all the way downstairs with the pillowcase still over my head. (Note the pillow is still attached!)

Going to the zoo, zoo, zoo

Grandma taught me the zoo song last time we went, and I sang it all day today. I had a fun time with Mia and Zoe!

Quote Worth Repeating

Evan is constantly saving things for people (orange slices, teddy grahams, etc.). Daddy, Grandpa, and Uncle Joe would be fat and happy if they lived here. This afternoon was a first, though. After being told he could have one dried mango slice, Evan pulled out two that were stuck together and said, "I'm saving one for Grandpa... in my belly."
